Church on Aunday, July 15.
The children's story was
about "dead end" streets in
life.
The sermon, "The com-
munity of love" dwelt on
some of the attributes of love
as revealed by Jesus Christ.
Guest soloist was Mrs.
Donna St. John who sang "I
think when I read that sweet
story of old."
We have enjoyed the
fellowship of the
Presbyterians again this
summer and look forward to
joining them in late August.
United Church members are
reminded of the Open Air
service at Camp Menesetung
with picnic following to be
held on Sunday, July 29.
Everyone meet at the church
at 9.45 a.m. to arrange rides,
Tour Northern Ontario
and Western Canada
Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Taylor, Murray and Donna
returned home from a motor
trip to Northern Ontario by
way of Tobermory and
crossed on the Chi-
Cheemaun Ferry and
motored on to Western
Canada where they visited
cousins in West Killarney
Manitoba.

be guest soloist. Rev. K.

Moir Reunion
The decendants of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moir
held a family reunion at
Morrison park on Sunday,
which was largely attended
by members of the clan,
eighty-four in number. A
delicious dinner was par-
taken of and many
acquaintances renewed
and a most enjoyable time
spent by all. The members
came from Hensall, Exeter,
Thames Road. Tillsonburg,

Residents entertained
at lake
On Monday last Mr.
William Gibson entertained
a number of residents of the
Queensway Nursing Home at
his home on the Blue Water
highway near Bayfield to a
luncheon and afternoon of
organ music played by Mr.
Gibson.
The residents enjoyed the
outing very much and report
a most enjoyable time.
Rev. Gonyou of Exeter
conducted church service
last week. Visitors with Mrs.
Clara Featherston were her
brother and his wife Bill and
Vina Parker, and sisters
Margaret Larson, Belle
Reid, and Buela Smith, they
also visited Louise Mitchell.
Mrs. Helen Collins from
Michigan visited her brother
Mr. Nelson Loghrin. Mrs.
Pearl Erratt visited her
husband Russell. Mrs, Susan

More than 90 attended the
annual Coleman reunion
picnic Sunday July 15 at
Stanley township park.
Visiting and swimming
were enjoyed in the af-
ternoon. After a delicious
smorgasbord supper,
President Gladys Doig,
conducted a short business
meeting.
Officers for the 1980 picnic
will be President, Anson
McKinley; first vice
president, Paul Betties;
second vice president, Bill
Coleman; treasurer, Elsie
McKinley and secretary,
Annie Morenz.
Sports were conducted by
John and Eleanor Coleman
and Dorothy and Jim
Chapman.
Children's races were won
by Kenny Betties, Tracy
Talbot and Freddie Klaudi,
Tammy Alexander and Paul
Chapman. 100 yard dash won
by Jim Coleman, ladies kick
slipper - Barb Gackstetter,
relay race won by boy's
team, egg throwing contest
won by Bill and Norma
Coleman. Sports concluded
with a candy scramble and
string and spoon relay.
