Rev. Stan C, McDonald attended the Canadian Foresters High Court Convention for the whole of Canada, held at the Holiday Inn in. London last week. Rev. McDonald is the chaplain for the Order in Canada Mr. and Mrs. Doug Shirray and Linda returned home after holidaying with Mrs. Shirray's relatives at Vancouver and Brentwood Bay B,C. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corbett spent the past ' two weeks' camping at Silver Lake, Mrs, Ralph McArthur of Edmonton is holidaying with her mother Mrs. Hilda Beer and members of the family. ' Dr. and Mrs. Robert Mickle, Jamie and Craig of Cambridge spent Sunday with the former's mother, Mrs. Laird Mickle. Mr. and Mrs. John McAllister, accompanied by Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Bieber of Exeter, have returned from a fishing trip to Manitoulin Island last week, Mrs, Marjorie Windover has returned from a delightful tour of the western provinces visiting friends and relatives in Vancouver, Regina, Moosejaw, Win- nipeg and Toronto among other places. ' The Sacrament of Holy Baptism was administered to Warren Brent Alexander Kyle, son of Douglas and Helen Kyle, by Rev. Stan C. McDonald at the morning service of Hensall United Church on Aunday, July 15. The children's story was about "dead end" streets in life. The sermon, "The com- munity of love" dwelt on some of the attributes of love as revealed by Jesus Christ. Guest soloist was Mrs. Donna St. John who sang "I think when I read that sweet story of old." We have enjoyed the fellowship of the Presbyterians again this summer and look forward to joining them in late August. United Church members are reminded of the Open Air service at Camp Menesetung with picnic following to be held on Sunday, July 29. Everyone meet at the church at 9.45 a.m. to arrange rides, Tour Northern Ontario and Western Canada Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor, Murray and Donna returned home from a motor trip to Northern Ontario by way of Tobermory and crossed on the Chi- Cheemaun Ferry and motored on to Western Canada where they visited cousins in West Killarney Manitoba. Church Services resumed Church- service will be resumed on Sunday July 22 at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday July 22nd at Carmel Presbyterian Church. Miss Sylvia Bell will be guest soloist. Rev. K. Knight will be in charge of the service, Moir Reunion The decendants of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moir held a family reunion at Morrison park on Sunday, which was largely attended by members of the clan, eighty-four in number. A delicious dinner was par- taken of and many acquaintances renewed and a most enjoyable time spent by all. The members came from Hensall, Exeter, Thames Road. Residents entertained at lake On Monday last Mr. William Gibson entertained a number of residents of the Queensway Nursing Home at his home on the Blue Water highway near Bayfield to a luncheon and afternoon of organ music played by Mr. Gibson. The residents enjoyed the outing very much and report a most enjoyable time. Rev. Gonyou of Exeter conducted church service last week. Visitors with Mrs. Clara Featherston were her brother and his wife Bill and Vina Parker, and sisters Margaret Larson, Belle Reid, and Buela Smith, they also visited Louise Mitchell. Mrs. Helen Collins from Michigan visited her brother Mr. Nelson Loghrin. Mrs. Pearl Erratt visited her husband Russell. Mrs, Susan Purdy visited her husband Len. Ladies' high bowling score was Edna Young with 90 and Coleman's reunite More than 90 attended the annual Coleman reunion picnic Sunday July 15 at Stanley township park. Visiting and swimming were enjoyed in the af- ternoon. After a delicious smorgasbord supper, President Gladys Doig, conducted a short business meeting. Officers for the 1980 picnic will be President, Anson McKinley; first vice president, Paul Betties; second vice president, Bill Coleman; treasurer, Elsie McKinley and secretary, Annie Morenz. Sports were conducted by John and Eleanor Coleman and Dorothy and Jim Chapman. Children's races were won by Kenny Betties, Tracy Talbot and Freddie Klaudi, Tammy Alexander and Paul Chapman. 100 yard dash won by Jim Coleman, ladies kick slipper - Barb Gackstetter, relay race won by boy's team, egg throwing contest won by Bill and Norma Coleman. Sports concluded with a candy scramble and string and spoon relay. Guessing amount of string in a jar - Jim Coleman. Special prizes awarded were Coming farthest distance - John Coleman - Cleveland Ohio. Oldest lady - Mrs. Russell Coleman - Seaforth; oldest man - Ephraim Clarke of Huronview, Clinton - 93 years. Lady with most rings - Mrs. Lorne Lawson - Seaforth man with largest waistline - Harry Coleman, Point Clark: newest married couple - Barb and Tom Coleman. London. Youngest person attending - Lisa Marie Wilson, four months old. Those attending this year came from Goderich, Clinton. Seaforth, Zurich, Brucefield, Bayfield, Kip- pen, Dashwood. London, Port Huron, Davison and Flint, Michigan, Point Clark and Cleveland, Ohio. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Donald Coghlin and family of F'ordwich, visited with Rev. Stan C. McDonald at the week end.
