A birthday party for Cecil Ellwood was held at the home of 'Carolyn and Clarence Sadler, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lewis and 'Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Lewis attended the Decoration service at Parkhill cemetery, Sunday afternoon. The Brinsley United Church Women held their July meeting at the home of Mrs. Jack Hodgson Wed- nesday evening. The meeting opened by singing hymn "Take my life and let it be" followed by prayer by Mrs. George Lee. Karen Hodgson gave a reading "God is as a Whispered Prayer". Mrs. Lee read a story "An Eskimo Pride". Mrs. Wilbert Lewis read a poem. "Sun up and Sun down". Hymn"0 master let me walk with thee" was sung. GRADUATES - Deborah Lynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lynn, RR 2 Lucan, graduated recently from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Medi cal Laboratory Technologist. She has accepted a position with the London Public Health Laboratory. Books were given out on the project "Outdoor Living" and a general discussion of what we would be doing. Elected Officers are president-Shannon McCullum. Vice President Elaine Cunningham, secretary-April Hodgins treasurer-Carolyn Lankin and press reporter Catherine Lynn. The girls had a fitness test which included sit-ups, running, standing jump, throwing a basket ball and an obstacle course. Meeting two included how to press flowers, and leaves. They read about open fires and were taught how to make 4 fires-teepee-log cabin, crisscross and Indian. The girls went outside where they made Pizza over the open fire. All the ingredients were taken outside in a box as if they were camping, deep in the woods. There was only one problem, they forgot a bowl to mix the dough in. Everyone had fun. Personals Olive Simpson, Jean Hodgins, Viola and Barbara Carter enjoyed the Granton W.I. bus trip to Brampton Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ruston, St. Marys were Saturday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Art Hodgins. Group 4 of the Clandeboye W.I. held a short meeting Wednesday to plan their exhibit for Western Fair.
