There are many quick and
inexpensive fixes for creating
festive displays. “Colourful
Christmas ornaments can be a really
inexpensive fix, simply by placing
them in a vase or bowl and putting a
wreath around it.”
Another idea is to place some
greens with silk flowers.
In choosing Christmas balls,
Youngblut encourages you to be
adventurous. “Mix and match, sizes
and colours.”
Battery-operated with lights
throughout greens on a display can
also be an inexpensive way to
enhance holiday decor.
Another impressive, but easy,
arrangement is a bowl of seasonal
potpourri. “Start with the greens,
place the bowl in the middle and
you have a simple arrangement that
smells nice too.”
The style of the arrangement
should match the room’s decor. For
example an elegant living room is
not suited to whimsical country
snowmen. However, adds
Youngblut, it’s about personal
preference too.
“Make choices, play with
arrangements, throw out and add
in.”
And no matter what the final
display, place it so the impact
comes when your holiday guests
first walk into the room.
