We asked the Grade 1 students
at Brussels Public School...
What do you think Santa’s house
looks like?
“I think that there’s snow on top
and there’s a workshop with elves
where they work on the presents.
It would have to be a magic
house so that Santa could fit into
small places with the sleigh in the
garage.
The elves would be all around the
house, packing up the presents and
there would be lights on the trees
and the roof.” - A.J.
“I think it would have a lot of
reindeer on the lawn and a lot of
lights.” - Colin
“I think it’s a red cottage that’s all
decorated and full of presents,
millions and millions of presents.
The house is full of presents so
Santa and Mrs. Claus sleep
outside.” - Daniel
“I think it’s like a regular house,
but with snow on it. Then there’s
toys all around it and reindeer with
Christmas decorations all over it.”
- Austin
“I think it’s a red brick house at
the North Pole. I don’t think there’s
any decorations though, not outside
or inside. There would be a big
rocking horse though.
I think the bedroom would be
different. Santa would have a blue
bed and Mrs. Claus would have a
pink bed and the workshop would
be black.”
- Candace
“I think it would have Christmas
lights and Santa would be in it. It
would probably be longer than a
normal house.” - Darian
“I think that it’s a regular house,
but brown, with wood inside.”
- Camden
“I think it’s a red house with a red
window. It probably has Christmas
decorations and cookies on the
outside.” - Megan
“I think it would be bigger than a
normal house. It would be red and
have lights and trees and it would
have elves, to build the toys and
feed the reindeer.”
- Dana
“I think it would be a big house
that was all decorated, but only
around Christmas.” - Olivia
“I think it would be a big red
house with Christmas lights and
then green on the inside.”
- Brooklyn
“I think Santa lives in a snow
globe. He’d probably get lonely, so
he would come out sometimes
through a special door.
He wouldn’t like living in there. I
think it would be a big, sparkly
house in the snow globe, a really
big snow globe.” - Jessica
“I think Santa’s house would have
candy canes for a gate and it would
have pictures of elves all over theinside. There would probably belots of lights and toys.”- Paige“It would be a really big house, with lots of lights. There would be
snow outside, so the elves would
have to live inside with Santa. The
reindeer would live outside, but
they wouldn’t live in a barn, Santa
doesn’t have a barn.” - Ted
“I think it would be a big, red
house with lots of elves and toys.”
- Amanda
“There would be lots of snowmen
and elves around the house. It
would be a big red house, a huge
house.” - Kade
“It would be a red brick house,
but with no decorations. They
would have a tree inside though and
it would be all decorated.”
- Shyanne
“It would be covered with snow
and it would be really warm inside.
Inside Santa would have chairs and
a table and a living room and
probably a Christmas tree.”
- Damon
“It would probably be a big, huge
house. It would be red with lots of
decorations and Christmas lights.”
- Nicholas
