THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2007.AGNES YUILL MCBURNEYMrs. Agnes McBurney ofWingham, formerly of EastWawanosh passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007. She was 96. The former Agnes Roberston was the beloved wife of the late Gordon McBurney, who predeceased her in 1998. She was the mother of Hugh McBurney and Gloria Stradecki of Goderich and Ronald and Jean Anne McBurney of East Wawanosh Twp. She was the loving grandmother of David and Lawanda McBurney and their son Damian, Michael and Sherry McBurney and their daughter Ella and Steven and Jo-Anne McBurney, Dannielle Stradecki and Delee and Ron Mahoney. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jean Robertson of Wingham. Mrs. McBurney was predeceased by her parents Adam and Ann (King) Robertson, her sisters Janet (Dawson) Craig in 1978, Mary (William) Peacock in 2006 and her brother Alex Robertson in 2001. Visitation was at the McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Elly Dowofficiated.Interment will be in WinghamCemetery. Memorial donations to Knox United Church Belgrave, General Fund or The Residents Council atBraemar Retirement Centre wouldbe appreciated as expressions ofsympathy.
