My family, Deb, Fred, Jon and
Quinton Hakkers, Doug, Joyce,
Heidi, Craig and Jamie, Dave and I
would like to wish my readers both
near and far, friends, neighbours and
family a very Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year. We will hope that
2008 will be a good year for
everyone.
Sympathy is extended to Bill
Craig and the family of Annie Wight
of Listowel, Bill’s sister who passed
away this past week.
Mother Nature played tricks on us
again this weekend with high winds
and snow. It cancelled a lot of church
services in the area and many people
had Christmas gatherings planned.
We were some of those people but
hopefully we will get better weather
on Dec. 30.
Happy birthday to Joye (Craig)
Kane of Fullarton who celebrated
her 75th birthday on Sunday, Dec.
16.
I hear our town foreman has
birthday in December, so happy
birthday Bill.
Belated happy birthday to Thelma
Manning who celebrated Dec. 2, to
Sheila Rintoul who celebrated on
Dec. 3 and to Jean Plaetzer who
celebrated on Dec. 7.
Happy birthday to Brock Vodden
who will celebrate his birthday on
Dec. 29.
Happy anniversary to Dan and
Annie McInnes who will celebrate
on Dec. 27.

At the Dec. 17 meeting NorthHuron council approved thecamping fees for Blyth’s camp-ground for the years of 2008-2011.
For the first two years, the
individual fee will be $20 per night
to increase to $21 for the last two
years.
The group camping fee, with no
facility rental will be $15 per night,
then $16.
With full use of facilities included
each day, the cost for 150-250
campsites in 2008 and 2009 will be
$17 per night. If there are 251-499
campsites filled this drops to $16,
then to $15 for more than 500
campsites rented.
The regular rental fees will apply
for less than 150 campsites.
In 2010 and 2011 each of these
figures will increase by $1.
