Livestock for the week ending Dec.
7 were 2,869 head of cattle, 1,251
lambs and goats. On Tuesday the fed
steers and heifers sold on a good
active trade with fancy types selling
$1 higher. Choice steers and heifers
sold $81 to $85 with sales to $94.50.
Second cut sold $77 to $80. Cows
sold on a steady trade. On Thursday
veal sold $1 to $2 higher on a strong
active trade. Lambs sold on a strong
active trade. Sheep sold steady and
goats sold on a very strong market.
On Friday calves and yearlings sold
on a steady trade.
There were 227 steers on offer.

judged according to the following
criteria: progress made in their
agriculture career, environmental
and safety practices, crop and
livestock production history,
financial and management practices
and contributions to the well-being
of their community, province,
nation.
