After starting the season with two
victories the Blyth Atom girls have
lost three in a row.
The girls played a very solid
defensive game against the visiting

Goderich and was a good result
against a very strong team.
On Nov. 25 the team made the trip
to Mount Forest. The Mount Forest
team exacted its revenge for Blyth's
earlier win and beat the Ice Dogs by
a 4-1 score.
On Saturday Dec. 1, the team
hosted an exhibition game against an

the third period only down 4-2. The

SKATING
The Blyth Midget Girls Black Ice
broomball team played against
Palmerston this week. The game
provided lots of action with
Palmerston getting the better shots
around the Blyth goal.
Amy Root did well keeping the
net clear for Blyth.
The Black Ice broke onto the
scoreboard first when Kelly
MacDonald got the ball up to
Coreena Otten. Otten broke in from
centre ice and beat the Palmerston
goalie.
Palmerston turned it up a notch
and put intense pressure on the
Blyth defenders. Blyth dug in the
heels and with a bit of luck held off
the Palmerston attackers. Black Ice
won 1-0.
