Major duties and responsibilities include financial planning and policy development, directing the annual budget process, capital forecasting, fiscal management and accounting, internal and annual audit, investment strategy, FIR and MPMP reporting, staff leadership and development, and financial advice and reporting to Council. As a member of our senior management team, you will contribute to the overall direction of the municipality, lead/participate on project teams, be an enthusiastic champion of Council's policies, programs and decisions, as well as an ambassador for the Municipality within the staff and external community. To join our team, you need to demonstrate your municipal financial acumen, successful managerial track record, sound knowledge of provincial legislation affecting municipal finance/taxation including PSAB requirements, experience managing an Information Technology portfolio, proficiency in MSOffice and municipal accounting applications. A CGA, CA or CMA designation is preferred. We are also looking for excellent leadership, managerial, interpersonal/communication, strategic, organizational and presentation skills.
