CALDWELL. Big brother Zachary
Caldwell would like everyone to
know about his new little sister,
Keira Grace. Keira was born at
10:58 a.m. October 2, 2007 at
Stratford General Hospital. She
weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz and was 19
inches long. Keira’s parents, Scott
and Kelly Caldwell of Seaforth are
overjoyed to have a little girl to
complete their family. Special
spoiling privileges belong to
Grandma Joan Caldwell of Bayfield,
Grandma and Grandpa Brenda and
Bill McDougall of Blyth, and Uncle
Darrell McDougall of Calgary. She
will also be well loved by two great-
grandmas and many great-aunts and
uncles all across the country. 41-1
HARKES. I would like to express
my sincere thanks to relatives,
friends, neighbours, co-workers and
especially my husband Alex for their
support and their sympathy during
this difficult time in my life. It
means a great deal to me. I would
like to thank everyone for their
donations, flowers, phone calls and
the gifts of food – especially all the
kind words. She was a special person
to all of us and she will be greatly
missed and thought of every day.
Thanks to Les Cook for the special
service and the Clinton Legion
Ladies for the luncheon. Thanks to
the Falconer Funeral Home for their
kindness and guidance. Everyone’s
caring and kindness will always be
remembered. – Bev and Alex Blair
and family. 41-1p
BLAKE. Words cannot express our
thanks for all the wonderful
expressions of kindness shown to us
since the tragic loss of our dear son
Bob. We would like to convey our
sincerest appreciation to our family,
relatives, friends and neighbours for
all the phone calls, visits, food,
flowers, cards and masses. The
combine crew that arrived will
especially be remembered. The
concern shown during George and
my illnesses did not go unnoticed.
The support of our wonderful
community we live in given to all
our families was outstanding.
Missing you Bob, love you. –
George and Marie Blake. 41-1

PIERCE. I would like to thank all
the people who came to my surprise
birthday party. Paul did well by
keeping it a surprise. Thanks Paul
and also those who decorated the
Legion Hall and put pictures up from
years back. Thanks to Terry, Julia,
Jennifer, Brenda, Debbie and
Andrew for all they did. I thought
they might come up on Sunday but I
was wrong. Thanks to my son Dan
and his family, Shelley, Dane and
Vanessa. I want to say thanks for the
cards I got and the gifts. The cake
was from London and it was
beautiful. My whole family was here
– brothers and sisters and the Pierce
families all came, which was nice.
The meal was delicious and lots of it.
Thanks Fred and Deb. Thanks to
Shirley Dale. She had her job to do
and that was to take me to Goderich
shopping. She knew but I didn’t
know. Here’s to a loving family and
I have that. Thanks again. – Bernice
Pierce. 41-1

Thank You
We wish to sincerely thank our kind and
generous neighbours and friends of Ethel
and community for the beautiful bouquet
of roses and the fabulous gift certificate to
our favourite restaurant as well as the
memorable pages of names that provided
these gifts. We must especially thank the
willing person or persons who went from
door to door to make all this possible. Since leaving our home in Ethel and moving to
a smaller, suitable for seniors, home in Listowel we often talk about and look back on
our many happy times and memories of our friends in Ethel. Bob has lived in the
community for 80 years and Olive has enjoyed 54 happy years in Ethel. Time cannot
erase the past. Take time to drive to Listowel and stop in for a chat at Unit #9 in Perth
Meadows or call us at 519-291-4713. Friends forever, Bob and Olive Cunningham.
