The 59th annual Belgrave turkey supper took place last week to an arena floor full of tables
set ready for diners. The preparation, however, started much earlier than the 7 p.m. arrival
time when dinner was served as these dedicated volunteers (foreground: Lloyd Michie, left
and Ron Taylor, right) carved turkey for a good hour before the floor was ready to be served.
Approximately 1,000 residents were served turkey dinner simultaneously, a time-honoured
tradition in Belgrave, that has stood to be one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.
