THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2007.JESSIE CATHERINE CLARKMrs. Jessie Clark of Brussels,formerly of Wingham passed away atSeaforth Community Hospital on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007. She was 93. The former Jessie Douglas was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Clark (1973). She was also predeceased by her son Andy, her daughter Anne Labbé, sisters Helen Ridley and Agnes Douglas and brothers Robert, Stan and Andy Douglas. She was the dear mother of Bill and Sandra of Brussels, Joe and Carol of Wingham, Stanley and Heather of Calgary, Nancy Howard and Paul Strong of London and Raymond and May of Sidney, Manitoba. Jessie is also survived by her sister-in-law Velda Douglas of Belmore, 10 grandchildren: Pam, Nadine, Steven, Ron, Dean, Anthony, Deb, Lyn, Brenda, Nina and 16 great- grandchildren. Visitation was at the McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, on Monday, from 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Majors Neil and Maureen Voce officiated. Interment was in Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Liver Foundation or the Wingham Salvation Army would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. The former Connie Fryfogle was the beloved wife of the late John A. Foxton who predeceased her in 1961. She was the dear mother of Debbie and Ralph Metcalfe of Howick Twp., Randy Foxton and Lynda Braun of RR6, Dundalk, Candice and Bruce Howson of Blyth, Lynn and Don Brooks of Lucknow and Susan and David Heffer of RR2, Wingham. She was the sister of Jerry and Liz Fryfogle of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Barry and Pat Fryfogle of St. Albert, Alberta. She was the loving grandmother of Allison and Shane Letteau, Greg Metcalfe and friend Mark, Amy and Danny Gusso, Jason Metcalfe and friend Crystal, Sarah Foxton, Michael Foxton, Katie and Mike Archer, Christopher and Catherine Howson, Amanda and Greg Rutledge, Ashley and Steve Phillips, Josh Johnston and friend Jen, Lindsay Johnston and friend Jason, Tyler Brooks and friend Sarah, Danny Brooks and friend Luke, Jeremy Heffer and friend Dawn, Natalie, Brittany and Stephanie Heffer. She was the great- grandmother of Alexandra Martin, Jayden Letteau, Madison Metcalfe, Brooklyn Benninger, Savanah Rutledge and Logan Heffer. Mrs. Foxton is also survived by two step- great-grandchildren Jeff and Brad Pewtress. Her parents Clayton and Shirley (Colvin) Fryfogle and sons KevinJohn (in infancy), Lawrence “Laurie”(1969) and Shane William (1992)predeceased her. Visitation was at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Bernard Skelding officiated. Interment was in Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to Epilepsy Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Arthritis Society, the Cancer Society or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wingham would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. On-line condolences at www.mcburneyfuneralhome.com MARY (BEACOM) RITCHIE Mary (Beacom) Ritchie, the former Mary Etta Laidlaw, of Egmondville passed away on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 at Clinton Public Hospital. She was in her 85th year. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Herbert Wesley Beacom (1973) and Kenneth Ritchie (2002). She was the loving mother of Bill (Yvonne) Beacom, Lois (Ken) Edey, all of Calgary, Robert (Angela) Beacom of RR1, Blyth and stepson Larry Ritchie and special friend Joanne of Egmondville. She will be fondly remembered by nine grand- children, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six step- great-grandchildren. She was the loved sister of Jim (Doris) Laidlaw of Goderich. Mary was the dear sister-in-law of Edythe Beacom ofLondesborough and stepsister ofAlice Munro and Gerry Fremlin of Clinton, William and Lucia Laidlaw of Calgary and Sheila Laidlaw- Radford and Joe Radford of Buckhorn. Mary will also be remembered by several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Etta (Charter) Laidlaw. Family received friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on Wednesday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. where the funeral service was held on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. Pastor Steve Hildebrandofficiated.Interment was in Blyth UnionCemetery. Pallbearers were Wes Beacom, J.C. Beacom, Jeff Edey, David Beacom, Tony Middegaal and Robert Charter. Honorary pallbearers were John Middegaal, Murray Johnston and Gordon Charter. Flowerbearers were Lori Robertson, Brenda Cutforth, Mary Edey, Joyce Beacom and Melinda Beacom. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Clinton Public Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
