Livestock for the week ending Sept.
14 were 2,437 head of cattle, 559
lambs and goats.
On Tuesday the fed steers and
heifers sold $2 to $3 lower. Choice
steers and heifers sold $86 to $90
with sales to $94. Second cut sold
$83 to $86. Cows sold on a steady
market. On Thursday veal sold on a
steady and active trade. Light lambs
sold at good active trading. Heavy
lambs sold $2 to $5 higher. Goats
and sheep sold on a steady market.
On Friday calves and yearlings sold
on a steady market.
There were 538 steers on offer.

The Huron County Federation of
Agriculture, in preparation for the
upcoming provincial election, will
be hosting an all-candidates meeting
on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the
Goderich Twp. Hall in Holmesville
starting at 8 p.m.
The candidates will be answering
an array of written questions
developed by a panel of Federation
directors with input from the
audience, as well as questions
directly from the audience members.
