Livestock for the week ending Aug.
17 were 1,872 head of cattle, 729
lambs and goats.
On Tuesday the fed steers and
heifers sold steady. Choice steers
and heifers sold $86 to $90 with
sales to $96.75. Second cut sold $84
to $86. Cows also sold steady. On
Thursday veal sold steady. Light
lambs sold $5 to $10 higher. Heavy
lambs sold steady. Goats and sheep
sold on a steady market. On Friday
calves sold on a strong demand with
yearling steers selling steady and
yearling heifers sold under pressure.
There were 326 steers on offer.
