Rural Roads Operator (Contract position)
The Municipality of Morris-Turnberry requires the following contract employee

A job description for the position is available for review at the Municipal Office.
The successful applicant must have a Class DZ licence and should be familiar
with the operation and maintenance of a motor grader and a tandem truck.

Huron County Health Unit
requires (1) Casual
Plumbing Inspector
The Health Unit currently has an opening for a Casual
Plumbing Inspector. The successful candidate will report
directly to a Public Health Manager, and will work
collaboratively with peers to provide plumbing inspections for
compliance with Part 7 (Plumbing) of the Ontario Building
Code, to ensure safe and adequate potable water systems in the
County of Huron. The successful candidate will be required to
work weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Qualifications include a completed apprenticeship as a
Plumber, a minimum of three years related plumbing
experience in addition to apprenticeship time; and
qualifications as set out by the Ontario Building Code Act
(General Legal and Plumbing All Buildings designation).
Applications will be accepted until 4:30pm, August 3rd, 2007.

The progressive and growing Municipality of North Huron is located in
the County of Huron, serving approximately 5,000 residents with a rural
and urban mix.
The Township of North Huron has two (2) water systems and two (2)
wastewater systems.
The Township Requires Three Positions for their Water/Wastewater
Utility Department.
1) Chief Operator
The Chief Operator is the Operator-in-Charge, responsible for the
overall operation of the water supply and distribution system and the
wastewater treatment and collection system. Also responsible to
develop, implement, supervise and carry out work activities that will
result in an efficiently operated water/wastewater utility.
Qualifications:
• MOE Water Licence Class III
• MOE Wastewater Licence Class III
2) Utility Operator
The Utility Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
water supply and distribution system and the wastewater treatment and
collection system. Also responsible to develop, implement and carry
out work activities that will result in an efficiently operated
water/wastewater utility. May also be called upon to provide a variety
of road and sidewalk maintenance duties as required.
Qualifications:
• MOE Water Licence II and/or Wastewater Licence Class II.
• DZ Licence would be an asset.
3) Utility Operator – Level I
The Utility Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
water supply and distribution system and the wastewater treatment and
collection system. Also responsible to develop, implement and carry
out work activities that will result in an efficiently operated
water/wastewater utility. May also be called upon to provide a variety
of road and sidewalk maintenance duties as required.
Qualifications:
• MOE Water Licence Class OIT and/or Wastewater Licence Class OIT
• DZ Licence would be an asset
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience. The Township of
North Huron offers an excellent benefit package.
