BLACK. A great big thanks to all the
Brussels, Morris and Grey ladies
who hosted and attended my bridal
shower on June 22. A special thank
you to Isabelle Wheeler and Audrey
Cardiff for organizing the evening. It
was so kind of you Audrey, to share
your home with us. Claudia, the
reading was excellent and Isabelle,
the poem which you wrote will be
treasured always. I would also like to

wonderful to see everyone. The gifts
are beautiful and just what we need
in our home. I feel blessed to have

RIEHL. I would like to say a
heartfelt thank you to all who
attended my surprise 65th birthday
party that my family so graciously
put on for me at the Legion – a total
surprise. It was great to see my
family from Ontario, Alberta and
France and also many friends from
Blyth and area. It took a lot of
planning to pull this off. The cards
were quite thoughtful or humorous
and I enjoyed reading them. I also
want to thank those of you who
remembered me in my retirement, I
miss seeing you. It was awesome. –

DOW. We would like to express our
sincere thanks to everyone who
helped during Nelson’s illness from
which he could not recover. First, a
big thanks to the staff at the Braemar
Nursing Home for making his life so
enjoyable. He seemed to be very
happy just being surrounded by
people. Your acts of kindness,
compassion and patience were much
appreciated. Special thanks to Dr.
Moores, Dr. Gear and all the nursing
staff at the hospital for the
impeccable care given to him during
his stay in hospital. We also
appreciated the understanding and
support given to us during his time
with you. At his passing, we were
grateful to all the friends and
neighbours who visited, brought
food to our homes, and made floral
or memorial donations and sent
cards. Thank you to all whom
attended the visitation and funeral
service. We were overwhelmed by
the tremendous attendance and we
recognize this as a tribute to the
wonderful person you all saw in
Nelson. Thanks also to Rev. Cathrine
Campbell and Pastor Elly Van
Bergen for being there in our time of
need and to Elly, Cathy and Stephen

during the funeral service. To the
ladies of the Fordyce community
who served our family supper on
Saturday night and to Calvin Brick

after the funeral service, thank you.
