represented East Wawanosh Public
School at the Avon Maitland District
track and field meet held at Goderich
District Collegiate Institute on
Wednesday, June 20: Jenny
Anderson, Brittany Appleby, Sarah
Cook, Arden Coultes, Laura
Higgins, Caroline McDowell, Heidi
Raynard, Dallas Ruff-Robertson,
Megan Stute and Carly Whitfield.
Carly Whitfield finished in the
third 100m, Arden Coultes was third
in the 200m and Caroline McDowell
took second in the 1500 m and third
in the 800 m.
The East Wawanosh Public School
junior mixed soccer teams
participated in the North Huron
soccer tournament on Monday, June
25 at the Howick Central Public
School. The teams consisted of
Tristin Cook, Rebecca Guy, Caroline
McDowell, Sarah Cook, Heidi
Raynard, Laura Higgins, Sydney
Jarvis, Andrea Shiell, Drew McKee,
Jarod Logan, Arden Coultes, Brent
Montgomery, Spencer Stevenson,
Jesse Van Camp, Braydon Whitfield,
Tommy Hewitt, Evan Wesselink,
Ben Pletch, Ryan Stute and Austin
Chaffe. Ms Elder was coach.Austin Chaffe and Ben Pletchorganized intramural soccer for thestudents in Grades 1-4. The winning
team was Liverpool with players
Kyle Hallahan, Chastity Irvine-
Caesar, Wes Klages and Cole
McKee.
Wednesday, June 27 was the third
term awards assembly. Honour roll,
citizenship and most improved
student awards for each classroom
were presented.
On the honour roll were: Grade

with 104 points and received an
Outstanding Achievement
Certificate.

Thompson and Jordan Van Camp.
Stevenson received the highest scoreand ranked in the top 25 per cent ofthe contestants in the Gauss MathContest with a score of 114 points
for an Outstanding Achievement
Certificate.
F.E. Madill Secondary School will
be welcoming incoming Grade 9
students on Tuesday, Aug. 28 and
Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 10 to
11:30 a.m. or from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
