Huchins, Goderich. Caitlin Findlay-
Robinson entertained with ballet
dancing.
The afternoon speaker was
Andrew Middleton, who works with
Wells 4 Africa. He showed pictures
of how wells are constructed in
Nigeria.
The Nigerians themselves help
with the construction and must care
for the wells afterwards.
It costs $1,200 U.S. to build a well
and there is a great celebration at the
well opening.
The roll call was a verse or fact
about water.
The Presbyterial treasurer, Liz
Stewart, reported that $16,239.55
had been raised for the general fund,
$1,633, for the expense fund, and
that the balance left from the
Synodical was $87.58.
Monkton WMS gave the courtesy
remarks, and Mitchell the closing
prayer.
Hymns used during the meeting
were This Is The Day That The Lord
Has Made, God Who Made The
Earth, and Who’s Going To Tell The
Story.
