He sings at different churches and weddings. He likes it a lot.” In the Junior division, Blyth girl Carlene Bremner, nine, also made the cut and will be heading down toLondon on Sept. 9 to compete forthe big prize. Bremner came in fifth thanks toher step-dancing routine. Hermother, Vicky Bremner, said shereceived comments that her daughter looked like a natural over the weekend. Lorna Fraser welcomed everyone to church. As everyone entered the church they were given a glass and asked to come to the front and build a tower. They opened the service with the Parents Prayer and the first hymn was It Only Takes a Spark accompanied by Jessica Sparling on the violin. Bryce and Brett Glousher and Jon and Quinton Hakkers read the call to worship from the Four Corners of the Chapel. The next hymn Come In, Sit Down was followed by the prayer of Confession and Words of Assurance. I Danced in the Morning was the next hymn. Lorna read the scripture from Genesis 11: 1-9 and Bryce and Brett Glousher read the scripture from Acts 2: 1-21. Jon Hakkers led the Responsive Psalm 104: 24-34. The Lord’s Prayer was sung along with the actions. Lorna’s message was God is Like The Wind. We can’t see the wind but we can hear it and see it move the leaves on the trees. She asked for some volunteers. Every time she mentioned the wind the children waved streamers to show the wind. The children played the drums which they had made last week during the singing of the next hymn Kum Ba Ya. While the offering was being taken up in paper bags everyone sang the song Magic Penny. The offering was dedicated and given to the camp. All the Sunday school children were given awards for their attendance during the year. Lorna presented Fred Hakkers with a gift from the Sunday school. The last hymn This Little Light of Mine, was followed by the blessing and grace for lunch. Everyone was invited to the dining hall for a potluck lunch. This was the end of Sunday school until September. 83341 CURRIE LINE - RR 3 BLYTH 519-523-9407 Owner: Gaye Datema COME AND SEE US THIS SEASON FOR ALL YOUR GARDENING PLANTS If you have your own planters and want your own choice in them, bring in and pick from our large selection we have this year.
