The Walton Brewers were on
the diamonds twice this week
with the Walton home opener on
Tuesday evening and travelling to
Goderich on Wednesday to play the
Gators.
In the opening game of the season
Walton played well enough to
squeak out the 4-3 win over Exeter.
Scott Leonhardt was on the mound
for the entire game.
The next home game for Walton is
Tuesday, June 5 at 8:30 p.m. against
Belmore.
The Goderich Gators made the
Brewers one and one on the season,
handing them the decisive loss of
13-1. On the mound for Walton was
Scott McDonald. No bats, no
fielding and no luck contributed to
the loss.
The Walton Wonders played their
first game on Thursday night in the
ladies slo-pitch league.
Returning to the team after a year
off was Susan Alexander. She
