19 at 6 p.m. Over 100 people will be
there to celebrate the work that
volunteers contribute to Epilepsy
Huron-Perth Bruce.
Jeff Ball, a local musician, will be
entertaining the volunteers with his
tribute to the Beatles and other 60s
bands. Local secondary students will
be performing the famous Kids on
the Block puppet plays.
The agency is expecting two
world-renowned neurologists from
the London Health Sciences Centre,
who have volunteered to attend thefunction as well.“It is truly amazing thecontribution of time and energy put
forth by these volunteers,” said
Caroline Simons, executive director
of Epilepsy Huron-Perth-Bruce.
“We would not be able to support
people in the three counties if not for
their support, time and
commitment.”
The Agency receives no
government assistance; therefore,
it’s imperative that human resources,
funds and partnership come from the
local community. The United Ways
of Huron, Perth and Bruce counties,
provide 30 per cent of the Agencybudget which leaves the other 70 percent to be raised through localfundraising initiatives.
Epilepsy Huron-Perth-Bruce is
hosting its 21st annual golf
tournament, Sunday, May 27at
Woodlands Links, Clinton. The price
is $95, which includes a delicious
dinner, golf cart, 18 holes of golf,
prize table and a chance of winning

Egging him on
It was a combination of both sides of Easter as Blyth’s
Trinity and Brussels St. John’s Anglican Churches hosted
an egg hunt after the morning services. Brody Nesbitt was
tickled to find some eggs at the piano, then couldn’t resist
tickling the ivories. (Vicky Bremner photo)
