Guest speaker Sandy Morris
welcomed everyone to church. The
call to worship was repeated
responsively followed by the first
hymn, Spirit, Spirit of Gentleness,
the opening prayer, the prayer of
Confession and the Assurance of
Pardon.
The choir sang an anthem So Send
I You.
The children came to the front ofthe church during the singing of thelast verse of the hymn Come Let UsSing of a Wonderful Love. Sandytold the story of the prodigal son tothe children. They sang The Lord’sPrayer along with the actions and
went downstairs to Sunday school.
The scripture readings were Luke
15: 1-10 and Psalm 23. The hymn
How Firm a Foundation was sung.
Sandy’s message to the adults was
God’s Lottery. Sandy told stories of
her “Granny” and also related the
prodigal son to her message.
Warrant Officer Roger Craig has
just left for a six-month tour in
Afghanistan.
His parents William and Isabelle
Craig, of Blyth say they are proud of
his dedication and loyalty to Canada.
Craig and his wife, Connie have
children, Ian and Anna Nichole.
Roger’s brothers, Ross and
Murray and their sister Mary bid him
well on his overseas deployment.
Stephanie, Bruce, Sheona and
Heather, also hope he has a safe tour.
An elderly couple perished in a
house fire in Clinton on March 18.
According to information from the
OPP, Central Huron firefighters,
Huron County emergency medical
services and police arrived at the
scene of the blaze at 110 Mary St. at
approximately 1 p.m. Two
occupants, Gloria Allaway, 77 and
James Allaway, 83 had succumbed
to the smoke and fire.
Foul play was not suspected, say
police. The blaze is under
investigation by the Ontario Fire
Marshal and the OPP.

December 31st, 2006; appointing auditors; and the transacting of all other business
of an Annual Meeting, as outlined on the agenda for the meeting.
Election of Directors will be completed by in-branch voting

FROM BLYTH
Watching, waiting
Pucks came to centre ice in waves last weekend at Blyth Minor Hockey’s alumni game
fundraiser during the Chuck-A-Puck competition and then came the waiting. Everyone
watched as pucks slid slowly closer to centre ice and pucks knocked other pucks closer and
further away until one was declared the closest. The winner took home a brand new hockey
