Brittany Haines went on
to represent the school at the
Wingham Legion and placed second
overall.
On Thursday, Feb. 22 our teams
participated in the North Huron
basketball tournament held at F.E.
Madill Secondary School.
The members of the girls team
were: Brittany Appleby, Ali Gallant,
Carly Whitfield, Kelsey Smith,
Melissa Leishman, Loretta
Thompson, Brittany Haines,
Racheal Stangen, Stephanie
Robinson, Bonnie Nethery and
Jenny Anderson.
The members of the boys
team were: Ryan Drabiuk,
Jordan Van Camp, Tyler Stevenson,
William Haines, Matthew Cottrill,
Josh White, Matthew Hallahan,

Nicely done
This team, represented the Wingham Golf and Curling Club
at the junior mixed competition. They won the B flight in the
zone playdown at Vanastra Curling Club on Feb. 25 to
advance to the regional playdowns at the Highland Country
Club in London on March 3, where they put on a strong

There were 10 tables of shoot in
play on Friday, March 9 in the
Belgrave Community Centre.
The winners were: high pink
card, June Robinson; second high
pink card, Mary Hunter; most
shoots, Irlma Edgar; high white
card, George Inglis; second high
white card, Ronald Taylor; most
shoots, Marie Stevens.
The next shoot is Friday, March
23 at 1:30 p.m.
On Thursday, March 15 Knox
United Church will be open for
prayer from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The stewards will meet on
Thursday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in
the Church.
Sunday, March 18 will be
children’s Sunday with lunch
following the service. Please bring
sandwiches or squares.
The community extends
congratulations to Chad and Karla
McKee on the birth of a son, Aiden
James, born on Feb. 7.

OPP are investigating an act of
mischief which occurred in Belgrave
at approximately 10:30 p.m., March
10.
According to police, a pickup
truck was parked at a residence on
Brandon Street. During the night,
the vehicle’s owner heard two ATVs
outside, but didn’t get up to
investigate.
The next morning he found the
front seat of the truck had been
damaged. Someone had thrown a
plastic bottle that had melted and
splashed some sort of acidic
chemical all over the front seat.
Anyone with information that may
assist police is asked to call them or

(TIAs) or for those with high cholesterol to prevent these conditions. 2 hour program led by
a Nurse Practitioner and Registerd Dietitian on March 29/07, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Board
Room. Physician referral is required. Please call Cherie Dolmage 357-3210 ext. 275 to
register.

12-week program is being offered starting the week of March 19. For more information
