up the ice. D. deBoer picked up the
ball and scored for Blyth.
Kuik and Mike LaLonde passed
the ball up the ice to earn an assist
for the next goal. Gerrit Logtenberg
scored after he picked up the pass
from LaLonde. Blyth kept the
pressure on when LaLonde passed
the ball up from the side and Kuik
picked up the ball and scored for
Blyth.
The fourth goal of the game was
scored by Logtenberg after he
picked up the ball from his
defensive player Emilie Hogan.
Blyth was ahead 4-0 at halftime.
In the second period Morgan Bos
shot the ball out of the corner
towards the net, D. deBoer picked
up the pass in front of the net and
scored for Blyth. D. deBoer shot the
ball towards the net and Kuik picked
up the pass to score another goal.
When the final buzzer rang the
score was a 6-0 win for Blyth and a
game shut-out for Blyth’s Dale.
Undefeated the Blyth squad
earned the title.
This team was put together just
for the Palmerston tournament. Dale
did a great job covering the net and
only allowed two goals to get by
him for the entire tournament. As
luck would have it, both goals were
scored on Blyth in the last minute of
games one and two.
