Durham Thundercats.
The Bulls travelled to Durham on
March 2 and dropped a 4-1 decision.
They dominated the first period, but
Durham goaltender Troy Loucks
was unbeatable and the period ended
scoreless.
The Thundercats scored two sec-
ond-period goals and another early
in the third period before the Bulls’
Zack O’Krafka broke the shutout by
converting a goal mouth pass from
Ian Schwartz.
The Thundercats completed the
scoring with an empty-net goal. The
final shots on the goal for the gamewere the Bulls 42 and theThundercats 26.
The second game in the series was
played in Wingham on March 3.
Again the Bulls opened with a flurry,
but squandered several good scoringchances. The first period remained score-
less. The Thundercats opened the
scoring in the second period with a
powerplay goal, then took advantage
of the Bull’s defensive lapses toscore three more goals before theperiod ended.
The Thundercats scored twice
more in the third period and the
Loucks held the Bulls off the score-
board for a 6-0 win.The third game in the best four-out-of-seven series will be played
March 9 in Durham and game four is
scheduled for Saturday, March 10 at
8 p.m. in Wingham.

Mitchell opened the scoring and
later in the first, Blyth tied it up with
a goal from Raynard and a helper
from Ryan Plunkett.
Mitchell scored two in the second
to Blyth’s lone goal in the period.
Bromley scored it with an assist
from Plunkett.
Raynard scored his second of the
game in the third with an assist from
Kyle Pollard. Mitchell scored the
winner with seconds left in regula-
tion time to end the game.
Blyth travelled to Milverton on
Feb. 26, only to be handed a loss by
a score of 4-3.
Blyth opened up the scoring, with
Brendan Hallahan putting one past
Milverton’s goalie.
Milverton matched Blyth’s goal
with seconds left in the first,
keeping the game tied until the
third.
Milverton scored two in the
third, which Blyth quickly matched
thanks to Plunkett assisted by
Raynard and VanSoest from
Raynard and Pollard.
The game went into overtime and
Milverton broke the tie with just
three minutes left in added time.
