Friday, Dec. 22, 2006.
Born in Listowel on July 23, 1975,
Kent was in his 32nd year.
Kent was the dear son of Larry and
Janis Bray of RR1 Ethel and will be
sadly missed by his sister Shelley
Smith and her husband Ron of
Brussels. Kent was also loved by his
grandparents Joe and Beverly Smith
of Listowel, Helen Bray of Brussels
and by many aunts, uncles, cousins
and friends.
His grandfather Ken Bray and his
cousin Stacey predeceased him.
A private family service was
conducted at the Schimanski Family
Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 24
with Sandra Cable of Brussels
United Church officiating.
Cremation followed with
interment of cremated remains in
Brussels Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
Brussels United Church General
Fund.
LORNA JEAN COOK
Mrs. Lorna Cook of Belgrave
passed away at Wingham and
District Hospital on Friday, Dec. 22,
2006. She was 78.
The former Lorna Dunbar was the
beloved wife of the late Norman
Cook who predeceased her in
1991.
She was the mother of Douglas
Cook and Sylvia in Mexico, Ronald
and Margaret Cook, Barbara and
Harvey Black, Cameron and Mary
Cook, all of Belgrave, Marvin Cook
and friend Kathy McCracken of
Deloraine, Manitoba, Bradley Cook
of Calgary and Paul and Karen Cook
of Belgrave. She is also survived by
20 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
Mrs. Cook was predeceased by her
parents Joseph and Margaret
(Brydges) Dunbar, her brothers Alan
and Keith Dunbar and by her son
Wayne Cook (1993).
Visitation was at McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on
Saturday, Dec. 23 from 2 - 4 and 7 -
9 p.m. The funeral service was held
at the funeral home chapel on
Sunday at 1 p.m. Rev. John G.
Roberts officiated.
Interment was in Brandon
Cemetery, Belgrave.
Memorial donations to Wingham
and District Hospital Foundation
would be appreciated as expressions
of sympathy.

DOROTHY GRANGE
After a long life lived with energy
and dignity, Dorothy Grange of
Auburn, died at Huronview, Clinton
on Dec. 24, 2007.
Dorothy Elizabeth Walters wasborn on Jan. 14, 1912 at Benmiller,daughter of Clarence Walters andElizabeth Morrish. Dorothy was the
beloved mother of Elizabeth
(Roderick Singh), London; Judith
(d. 1950); Margo (Thomas Morris),
Goderich; Jennifer (Timothy Avery),
Toronto and Shelley (Robert
Worsell), Auburn. She was the
adored grandmother of 10
grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren. Dorothy is survived
as well by her niece Marie Lawson
of London.
She was predeceased by sisters
Lottie Feagan and Maizie Gliddon
and brothers Frank and Benson
Walters.
Very active in the community,
Dorothy was a member of Knox
United Church, of the Huron County
Historical Society and life member
of the UCW and the Horticultural
Society.
She was honoured by the province
in 2001 for her more than 50 years of
volunteer service.
Her family will remember her as a
traveller, swimmer, dancer, cook and
gardener extraordinaire who set the
standard for a life well lived.
The family received friends at theMcCallum & Palla Funeral Home,Cambria Road at East Street,Goderich on Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9
p.m. The funeral service was held at
Knox United Church, Auburn on
Friday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. Rev. Pat
Cook officiated.
Interment was in Colborne
Cemetery.
Donations to Knox United
Church, Auburn, or the Auburn
Horticultural Society would be
gratefully acknowledged.
JERAMIAH FRANKLIN
HIGGINS
Mr. Jerry Higgins of Belgrave
passed away at Wingham and
District Hospital on Tuesday, Dec.
19, 2006. He was 71.
He was the dear father of Derwin
and Martine Spicer of Montreal,
Robert and Sharon Higgins of
Chilliwack, B.C., and Verna-Dawn
Higgins of Woodstock. Jeramiah
was the loving brother of Jean
Pattison of Belgrave, Margaret
Higgins of Wingham and Ruth King
and Charlie Cook of Belgrave. He
was the brother-in-law of Verna
Higgins of Wingham. Jeramiah was
survived by a special friend Joan and
seven grandchildren.His wife Marlene (Hoy), hisbrother Alvin Higgins and hisbrothers-in-law Roy Pattison and
John King, predeceased him.
Visitation was at the McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham, on
Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m. The
funeral service was held at the
funeral chapel on Thursday, Dec. 21
at 11 a.m. Rev. Len Myers officiated.
Cremation took place with
placement of ashes later in Brandon
Cemetery, Belgrave.
Memorial donations to a charity of
your choice would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.

FLORENCE LUCRETIA
QUINN
Mrs. Florence Lucretia Quinn,
formerly of Blyth passed away
peacefully at Maitland Manor,
Goderich on Monday, Dec. 25, 2006.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Edward “Ted” Quinn (2000).
Florence was the dear sister of
Norval McLeod of Kincardine,
Melville and Dorothy McLeod of
Elora and Harvey McLeod ofGlammis. She will be rememberedby her sister-in-law Gladys McLeodof Kincardine. Florence will be
missed as well by several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by two
brothers, Bill and Eugene McLeod,
and by her sister-in-law Isobell
McLeod.
Friends were received at the Blyth
Visitation Centre of the Falconer
Funeral Homes, 407 Queen St.,
Blyth on Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m.
The funeral service was held at
Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth on
Friday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. Chaplain
Fran Donohue and Rev. Tom Wilson
officiated.
Spring interment will be in Blyth
Union Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy
memorial donations to Trinity
Anglican Church, or the Heart and
Stroke Foundation would be greatly
appreciated.
Pallbearers were Steven McLeod,
Kevin Bodine, Dennis McLeod, Neil
McLeod, Ross McLeod and Larry
