Galloway, the mulatto athlete, who has
played baseball and hockey in Wood-
stock for the past couple of years,
leaves at the beginning of the year for
Wingham, where he will chase the
puck this winter. Galloway is a good
hockey player, and should prove an ad-
dition to the Wingham team.
Rink Opener—The rink was open for
Skating the first time this season on
Thursday evening of last week. The
proprietor, J. Stephenson, has had a
cement floor put in the rink and other-
wise .improved it.
Remembered the Advance—At least
two of our subscribers remembered us
at the Christmas season. Mr. Reuben
Stokes left a bag of fine cooking tur-
nips at our home, and Mrs. T. S. Bran-
don brought a basketful of choice Nor-
thern Spy apples. Both gifts were
appreciated.
