The death occurred suddenly at her
home in Welland, Ontario, of Irene
Sherriff, wife of Dr. R. M. McLean,. in
her Gist year. burial was in Lucknow
cemetery on Sunday afternoon, Surviv-
ing besides her 1tusband are a son,
Bruce, and a brother, Berwick Shen.-

Mrs. N. V. Holmes and Miss Per-
kins have received word of the death
of their cousin, Mr. W. J. Perkins, on
Dec, 10th, at the home of his only son,
Mr. Ogle Perkins, New York City, A
one-time business man of Gerrie, he'
was the son of the late Mr, and Mrs..
Jas. Perkins. A. sister, Annie, wife of
Dr, Williams, Toronto, survives.

here of the death in London, of Mrs.
Frances Ferguson, widow of the late
Rev. Henry T. Ferguson, who was a
brother of Mr. Sam Ferguson, our es-

passed away at the home of her son,
at the age Of 74 years, $he is survived
by three sons, Dr. Howard R. Fergu-
son, London, Dr. Wallace K. Ferguson,
New York, and Dr. Arthur B. Fergu-
son,,North Carolina. Her husband died
in July, 1945. Private funeral service
was held on Wednesday with interment
in Mt. pleasant Cemetery, London.
' Mr, and Mrs. John Robinson and
Mrs. Frances Strong were guests.on
Monday at the Golden Wedding cele-
bration of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mc-
Michael of Wroxeter., Many other
friends frbm this vicinity called to ex-
tend congratulations.
Mrs. J. McKnight of Toronto, is' vis-
iting at the par-ental home. Mr. Gordon
Brown, we are glad to report is recov-
ering from a recent illness.

Ross of Wallace Township, visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Campbell,
Mrs. John Fitch, Sr., of Delmore,
spent Wednesday with her sister, Mrs.
Jas. Shera. -

ed with Mr. and Mrs. Everett Spading
on Monday of last week.
Mr. and .Mrs. Andrew Edgar and
Sandra, and Mrs. John Brown, visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Lang Vogan of
Molesworth on Sunday.
Mr. Ken Galbraith left on Thursday
to visit his sister, Mrs. Richard Tay-
lor and Mr. Taylor of Geraldton, Nor-
thern Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Irwin and fam-
ily spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Cliff. Brown of Molesworth,
Mr, and Mrs. Wm. Campbell. and
Ivan of Fordwich, also Mr. and Mrs.
Nelson Gowdy and daughters, con, 13,
were guests of Mr. and Mrs. 'John
Montgomery on Sunday.

son of Mount Forest, called on Mr.
and Mrs. Hugh Switzer on Friday.

Molesworth Presbyterian Church, re-
cently spent an evening with Mrs. John
Brown, who has moved from Moles-
worth to Gorrie, and presented her
with a lovely umbrella.
