week-end with Miss Joan Wightman
and Miss Eleanor Wightman visited
with Marguerite Hall at Blyth.
Mr. and Mrs, Alex Nethery of Ham-
ilton, Miss Gwendoline Irwin of Lon-
don and Mr. Richard Irwin, Guelph,
spent the week-end with their parents,
Mr. and Mrs, Herson Irwin.
A receptiori was held at tht Red
School, E. Wawanosh, last Tuesday
evening in honour of Mr. and Mrs,
Henry pattison, newlyweds During
the evening, they were called to the,
front and Mr. Gershom Johnston read
an,,,. address and they were presented
with a purse of money. They thanked
their friends for their kindness and in-
vited them to come to see them in
their home on No. 4 Highway. Re-
freshments were served and Tiffin's or-
chestra provided music for dancing.

Mrs. Robert Johnston of Turnberry.

their home on Friday evening to spend
a social time with her parents, Mr: and
Mrs. Alex Coulter, who left on Satur-
day for their new home in. London.
During the evening the friends present-
ed them with an electric toaster. Lunch •
was served and the social thin enjoyed
by all. '

Underhill of Toronto, visited on Sun-
day at the home of the former's uncle,

relapse after the flu, during the past

Langton and Mr. Roy Robinson of

son of Kincardine, visited at the home
of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
Mason on Saturday, and Mr. Lloyd

Wingham, visited there on Monday,

Mr. Mason has been having the brick
siding put on his house, and this is a
splendid improvement.

end in Cleveland, at the home of her

The service in the United Church
here was withdrawn on Sunday on ac-
count of the Anniversary services at
St. Helens. Rev. W. j. Watt had
charge of the services there.
