Marathon Races-Quite an excite-
ment was aroused on Tuesday after-
noon, by the High School pupils' Road

sister, the proposed Carnegie library.
The Advance still believes that the
establishment of a Market day would
be a good thing far Wingham as well
as for the farmers.

High School Baseball-A good game
of baseball was played on the town
park on Saturday afternoon between
teams representing Kincardine and
Wingltam High SChools which the lat-
er won by 14 to 4. t'Nfost of the credit
for the victory belongs to the local
twirler, Ceti' Knox, who had 13 strike-
outs to his credit. The Winghant line-

St. Helens, on Wednesday, October
4th, when Rev, Mr. Cummings united
in marriage, Francis E,, second daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs, Archie Anderstr,
and Irvine Henry of Belfast.
Wins Golf Championship-Friends
of Mrs. J. A. Wallace of Wingham,
will be pleased to learn that she was
successful in again winning the cham-
pionship of St. Thomas District Golf
Clubs, and thus the Elgin Trophy is
retained by her. She has held this
championship for the two previous
seasons of 1920 and 1921.
Business As Usual-The Western
Foundry staff are working overtime in
an effort to keep up with the orders
coming in. The Gunn Son-ola fat-
tory is also very busy at present man-
ufacturing cabinets for radio outfits.

store in the building recently occupied
by the Select Ladies Ready-to-Wear,
