W. Institute All Members Programme
The October meeting of. Wroxeter
Women's Institute, will be held on
Wednesday, 'October 8th., at 2.30 p.m.,
at the home of Mrs, D. S. MacNaugh-
ton. The Roll Call will be answered by
a Hint for Fall Sewing. This will be an
all members programme. Sing, Say or
Play: It is expected Mrs. Armstrong
of Brussels, District President, will
make her official visit. Plans will be
made for the Inter-Institute concert
being sponsored by Gorrie W.I. in No-
vember. Assisiting the hostess will be

Young People's Union Elect Officers
Miss Jean Moffat presided over the
weekly meeting of the Young People's
Union on Monday evening. There was
a good attendance. The meeting was
opened by quiet music by Thelma Den-
ney. The President gave the Call to
Worship, •Gule Me 0 Thou Great
Jehovah. Thelma Denny led in prayer.
Doris ,Rae read a poem, "Salute to
You.",,Edith Weir chose for the Scrip-
ture lesson, Thessa. Chapter 4. The
second hymn chosen was "On those
Gloomy Hills of Darkness." Gilberta
Howes had charge of the Topic, The
Stewardship of Influence. Election of
officers took place as follows:

tobacco country where he had. employ-
ment for the last few weeks. He re-
ports the crops badly damaged with the
recent heavy frost.

Rev. Lelond C. Jorgensen preached
Anniversary services in the Presbyter-
ian Church, Molesworth, on Sunday.
The pulpit at knott. Church, Illuevale,
was occupied by Rev. Mr. Hutton of
Molesworth. At the morning service ill
the Udited Church, Rev. J. A. Burden's
text Was "The 'Unbound Christ". The
scripture readings from St. _John's Gos-
pel dealt with the raising of Lazarus
and the Resurrection of Christ. Mrs.
Alex McCracken sang a solo. At Eben-
ezer service in the afternoon, Rev. 3.
A. Burden baptized James Woodrow,
infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sel-
lers. The child's two grandmothers,
Mrs. J. J. Sellers, Morris and Mrs.
Howard Black, Toronto, were present.

Howard Stewart, Wingham, erected
the frame of Eldon McKinney's sum-
mer home on Saturday, situated on the
North side of the Maitland river.
Percy Paterson of Toronto, renewed
old acquaintances in the village this
week. Mr. Paterson is a former Blue-
vale old boy. He was born here and
attended the Public School when it
could boast of two rooms with a large
enrollment in each.
