FROM LISTOWEL
TELEPHONE 161,
For our major line of appli-
ances we have chosen The Wingham Ball Park was the
scene of plenty of activity Saturday
afternoon when the Wingham Red
Sox defeated the Listowel Juveniles
17-11, By virtue of their win the locals
now lead the series two games to one
for the W 0 A A Juvenile Baseball
Championship. Scoring five runs in
the opening frame the Red Sox were
never in trouble and commanded a sub-
stantial lead throughout the game.
Maitland Edgar had a perfect day at
bat connecting for a homer, two triples
and a single and reaching first on an
error, Sell also smashed out a triple
in the 6th, and gave a stellar per=
formance at short stop. Bill Lockridge
the Red Sox third sacker came through
with three timely hits in this game.
For the visitors Bitton was a power
of strength being credited with five hits
including two doubles. Annett on the
mound for Listowel struck xtt six
hatters and gave up fifteen hits. Laugh-.
lean and Sell divided the pitching dot-
les for Wingliam.
