Descendants of, the late Mr. and
Mrs, John R. Millar, pioneers of this
district, numbering about 50 gathered
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester
Higgins, on Saturday afternoon for a
picnic. Guests were present from Brus
sels, Wingham, Clinton, Fordwich,
Toronto, -Detroit. Honoured guests
were Mr. and Mrs.,Alex Gibson of the
9th line, Howick. Mrs. Gibson, the
former Agnes Millar, is the only mem-
ber of the Millar family now living. A

Lenore Higgins, R. N., of London.
Frolic Great Success
The Carnival Spirit was abroad in
Wroxeter on Thursday and Friday
evenings when.Howick Lions put on
their annual Frolic. A severe thunder-
storm early Thursday evening inter-
ferred somewhat but later the weather-
cleared and the sports were carried on,
The Merry-Go-Round, Kiddy Cars and
Ferris Wheel were a big attraction to
the children. Arrangements were made
to hold a second night bringing almost
as large a crowd as the previous• even-
ing. The members of the Club worked
hard and must feel gratified with their
success. The large finanical return
will enable them to carry on their
worth while work for the coming,
year.
