At the morning service in Knox Presbyterian Church, Rev. Leland C. On Friday after- noon Mr, Johnston was assisting with haying operations, on the farm of his son,,Sparling, 1st concession Morris, He was driving the horse on the hay fork, when somehow, the horse became tangled in the rope and-in the mix-up both horse and driver went over the side of the gangway, a doctor was summoned and Mr. Johnston was ta.k- en to the WiNham General Hospital. X-ray examination showed two bones above the ankle to be broken. The hi- jured limb was placed iti a cast, The other leg was cut and bruised and some small cuts around the head and face. He was able to return to his home on Sunday afternoon. Shortly after Mrs. Edward Johnston had retuned from church services on Sunday morning, she slipped on the floor and fell, a doctor vitas called and she was removed to the Wingham Gene'a1 ospitaai, X-ray showed three fractures between the shoulder and el- ,bow, on the left arm the shoulder was also injured.
