OBITUARY
Mrs. James A. Wray
The death occurred in Brantfordl on
Saturday, June 21st of Mr's, James
A. Wray after an illness of three
months. She was in her 81st year.
Formerly Martha Ellen Mines, she was
born in Grey Township, In March,
1893, at Gorrie, she was united in mar-
riage to fames Wray who predeceased
her in December, 19.31, She lived 41,,
most her entire life in this community
and for the past seven years had resid-
ed in Wroxeter, She was a member
of Salem United Church.
Surviving are, one son, W, Graham
Wray of Brantford; a brother, Wm. A.
Mines of Howick Township and three
grandchildren, Patricia, Diane and
Constance Wray,
Funeral service was held on Tues-
day, June 24th at 2.30 p.m. from Salem
United Church with Rev. J. L. Foster
officiating. Interment was made in
Wingham Cemetery. The pallbearers
were Earl Elliott, Grant Wilton, Wm.
Taylor, Lloyd Henning, Greer Wylie,
Howard Wylie.
George .Yeo
A highly esteemed and life-long resi-,
dent of Turnberry, in the person of
George Yeo, died at his home, Con.
3, Turnberry,, on Wednesday, June
18th, in his 85th year, following a
short illness. He was the son of
pioneer parents, born and raised on
the farm he successfully operated until
a short time ago. At Ethel, in 1903
he was married to Susannah Raynard,
who survives. He is also survived by
three sons, Clendon, of Southampton,
Wesley at home, and Sparling of Blue-
vale; also one sister, Mrs. Denman of
London. Three brothers and she sist-
ers predeceased him, John and Robert
of, Bluevale; Joseph, Landon; Mrs.
King, Toronto; Mrs. Harbotle, Cran-
brook:; ;Mrs. Walker, Toronto; Mrs.
Hatfield,' Midh.; Mrs, Denman and
Mrs. Holmes, Bluevale.
Following a private funeral service
at his residence on Friday afternoon,
a public service was held at the Blue-
vale United Church, of which Mr. Yeo
was a member. "Services were *con-
ducted by Rev. A. G. Hewitt. The
pallbearers, all neighbours, were An-
drew Adams, Thomas Shearer, Harvey
Timm, Andrew Miller, James Elliott
and Raymond Elliott. The flower-
bearers were four nephews, three
cousins and one neighbour. Interment,
was in Wingham Cemetery.
Poy Lee
The death occurred in Wingham on
Thursday, June 19th, following a
lengthy illness, of Poy Lee, in his
89th year. Mr. Lee was born in Can-
ton, China, coming to Canada 63 years
ago, to St. Mary's. After three years
he moved to Paisley, ,where he resid-
ed until he came to Wingham in 1917.
For many years he conducted a laun-
dry business. Surviving are one son,
Wee Lee, of town, and seven grand-
children.

The funeral service was held at the,
residence of his son, at 10,80. 4,ra, on
Saturday, June 21st, and was conduct-
ed by Rev, Alex. Nimmo of St. An-
drew'S Presbyterian Church. Inter-
meat WAS in Wingham Cemetery, The
pallbearers were M. Johnson, W, A.
'G.albraith, J, W. Hanna, J. H. Craw-
ford, A. M, Peebles and T, Fells.
BLUEVALE
Word has been received by the
Ottawa Journal that Donald J. Bailey,
son of. Mrs, William M. Bailey, 118
McDonald Street, Ottawa, and the late
William Bailey, formerly of Bluevale,
has been awarded a Masters degree in
Economics by the University of Cali-
fornia. Mr, Bailey, a former student
of Lisgar Collegiate, is an honor grad-
uate of Queen's University with a
post graduate course in Industrial Re-
lations and during the past year has
held a Teaching Fellowship at the
University of California. An employee
of the Unemployment Insurance Com-
mission, ,Mr, Bailey has been granted
leave of absence for the purpose of
continuing his studies toward a Doc-
tor's degree;
Miss Daisy Zetterstrome of Winni-
peg, Man„ is the guest of her aunts,
Miss Martha Fraser, Mrs. Robertson
and Mrs. Nicholson in the village, and
other relatives in this neighborhood.
Mr. Pring of the CKNX staff. of
Wingham, has rented apartments in
the home of,Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sell-
ers. Mrs. Pring and baby will move
here in the very near future.
Mr. Kenneth Jenkins of Washing-
ton, D.C., grandson of James Jenkins,
formerly of the Bluevale Road, spent
theewieieend with Mr. and Mrs. E. B. jnkls
Visitors with Mr. and iMrs. Earl
Hamilton and family over the week-
end were: Mr. and Mrs. Vernon
Hamilton of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Hamilton and two sons of .
Hensall, and also brought Sgt. Fred
Adams of Camp Borden, and Miss
Jennie McEverS of Wingham.
