defeated Blyth 9 to 8, and on Thurs-
day last they defeated the Kincardine

IT'S MST GAME
The Wiugham. Senior A Club suffer-
ed it's first loss of the . season on
Wednesday evening, in Goderich when
they were edged out 6-5 by Joe Mur-
phy's squad. The locals started off
with a bang, scoring five runs in the
first innings, but several costly errors
proved their downfall, combined with
one of the poorest diamonds in the cir-
cuit. Despite their loss Higgins was
in rare form striking, out eight batters,
with Deverneckuk fanning eleven for
the Lakesiders. Goderich will iriVade
the local campus here on Friday even-
ing, when one of the best games of
the season should be witnessed.

Wingham Won Exhibition Game
In an exhibition Softball game play-
ed at the Toi4n Park on Friday even-
ing, the Senior 4 Softball Club gained
a close decision over the Londesboro
nine, 7-6, in an exhibition affair with
little to choose between the two clubs.
Fans witnessed a real bang up ball
game which came to an exciting clim-
ax in the last half of the ninth. Feat-
uring Taras on the mound for the vis-'
itors, who formerly hurled for the
Goderich A Club, the visitors led 6-4
going into the ninth,. when, things real-
ly happened. Higgins came in as a
pinch -hitter, singled to open the in-
nings, and Templeman's hit broke ,up
the ,game, which saw the locals show
three runners across the plate to cinch
