ceiving wearing a powder blue crepe
dress and matching flower hat with
black accessories and corsage of Talis-
man roses.
Later Mr. and Mrs. Edward A.
Wilson left on a wedding trip to Nor-
thern Ontario, Toronto and Niagara

A quiet wedding took place at the
United Church Parsonage, Wingham,
when Rev. W. A. Beecroft, 'united in
marriage, Laura June, eldest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Casemore, 'and
Lloyd 'Stewart, son of Mr. arid Mrs.
George Saunders of Lucknow.
The bride was lovely in a dress of
gold silk jersey with black top coat,
black and gold accessories and cor-
sage of pink roses. Her sister, Miss
Betty, as attendant wore blue with
blue and pink accessories and a cor-
sage of pink roses. Mr. Gordon Saun-
ders, brother of the groom was best
man.
Following the ceremony, a buffet
lunch was served at the home of the
bride's parents, to about thirty guests.
Casemore - Allen
The Cronyn Memorial Church par-
sonage, London, was the scene of a
quiet June wedding, when the rector,
Rev. R. R. Lattinter, united in mar-
riage, Evelyn Rebecca Allen, daughter
of Mrs. Gertrude Allen, Wingham, and
James Kenneth •Casemore, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Andrew Casemore, Wing-
him. The bride wore a light blue
dressmaker suit with white and black
accessories, and a bouquet-of red roses
and lily-Of-the-valley. Miss Nellie
Raynard, of London, as bridesmaid,
chose a gray dressmaker suit with
navy and pink accessories, and a bou-.
qttet of pink roses and sweet peas.
Orwell Allen of ,London, brother of
the bride, attended the groom. The
bride and groom left ,for a wedding
trip to Niagara Falls and upon their
return will take up residence in Wing-
ham.

The bride given in marriage by her
father, wore a bridal gown of ivory
satin designed on princess. lines with
a bateau neckline and a deep peplum
extending to a train. Her veil of
French embroidered illusion extended
beyond •the train of her dress and was,.
caught with a halo headdress of orange
blossoms. She carried a cascade bou-
quet of American Beauty roses and
lily-of-the-valley. Her only ornament
was 'a string of pearls, the gift of the
'groom.
Miss Jeanne Speiran of Toronto, as
maid of honor, wore apple green taf-
feta, and Miss Ilene :Wilson, sister of
the groom, as bridesmaid, wore' lilac
taffeta. Their gowns were fashioned
on similar lines to the bride's and they
wore halo headdresses with shoulder-

Tall white tapers glowing softly in
'candelabra against a background of
palms, ferns and spring flowers, made
a lovely setting in Brussels United
Church, for the double ring ceremony,
performed by Rev. .Hugh Wilson,
when Idella Frances, only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James A. Bryans, Brus-
sels, became the bride of Edward A.
Wilson, eldest •son of Mr. and. Mrs.
Earl E. Wilson. .
!Mrs. John Bryans played the wed-
ding music and Mr. H. Stanley ,Har-
rison of London, sang, "The Lord's
Prayer" during the ceremony, and
"Because" during the signing of the
register.

the Queen Grill. The bride's mother
Assisted by Mrs. George King received
the guests. Mrs. Harris. wore a med-
ium blue dress and fuschia flowered
and corsage of red ,roses. Mrs.
King wore a grey dress and mauve
hat and corsage of mauve Wed peas.
Later Mr. and Mrs. Joseph King
reft on their honeymoon, the bride
donned a powder blue suit and black
accessories. They will travel to Guelph,
Toronto and other 'points.
-Upon their return they will reside
on the bridegroom's farm, R. R. 2,
Teeswater.
Johnston - Shortreed
Rev. Kenneth McLean, formerly of
Wingham, officiated at the marriage of
Ada Mae, only daughter of Mr. and
Mrs, Robert H. Shortreed, Walton, to
Elgin Robert, only son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Johnston of Wingham, at
Caven Presbyterian Manse, Exeter, on
Saturday, June 14th. The bride wore
a dress of turquoise crepe with small
white hat and white accessories. Her
corsage was of Madame Butterfly ros-
es and fern. Miss Katherine McDon-
ald of Walton, as bridesmaid wore a
dress of dusty pink ,silk jersey with
matching hat trimmed with navy. Her
accessories were navy and she wore ,a
corsage of Killarney roses and fern.
Mr. Gordon Caldwell of Blyth, at-
tended the groom,
After the ceremony, a wedding din-
ner was served to the bridal party at
the Commercial Hotel, Seaforth. The
bride chose for travelling a blue suit
with navy hat and navy accessories.
After a wedding trip to Toronto and
Ottawa, Mr. and Mrs. Johnston will
reside near Wingham,

H. Tervit was the setting for the mar-
riage on Saturday, June 14th., of their
daughter, Mary, to Mr. Donald C.
Wallace, son of Mrs, Margaret Wal-
lace and the late Thos, Wallace of
Turnberry. Rev. A. Nininio officiated.
Given in marriage by her father, the
bride wore a graceful gown of white
silk net over taffeta with lace bodice,
and sweetheart neckline, the long skirt
having a peplum of white lace frills,
Her three-quarter length veil was' held
in place by a beaded' coronet and sire
carried a Colonial bouquet of red roses
and bouvardia, Her only ornament
was a double strand of pearls, the gift
Of the groom. Her sister' Jean R. Ter-
vit, as 'bridesmaid, those brocaded lil-
ac sheer over taffeta with matching
headdress. Her flowers, were Johanna
Hill roses in a Colonial bouquet, Mr.
Arthur Bryce was groomsman,

A pretty wedding took place on Sat-
day at Sacred Heart Church, Wing-
ham, of Ruth Elizabeth, eldest daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Harris of
Wingham, and Joseph Moir, youngest
son of Mrs. and the late Mr. George
King, R. R. 2, Teeswater, Rev. Father
F. J. Bricklin officiated and Miss Viv-
iah Ernest played the wedding music,
Preceeded 'by three attendants, the
bride entered the 'church on the arm
of her father, Her gown of white taf-
etta with dotted net overskirt was fas-
hioned with a fitted bodice buttoned
down the back, and peplum caught up
with true lovers knot. Her long grace-
ful veil of embroidered net was held
in place with orange blossoms and she
carried a shower bouquet of red roses,
and streamers knotted with lily-of-the-
valley, She wore the 'bridegroom's
gift, a pearl necklace,
Miss Frances Brophy as Maid of
Honor, wore a gown of blue taffeta
and net with square neckline. Her a head-dress was of matching net and
