Mr. and ;Mrs. Will Redmond and children of St, Augustine spent Sun- day at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Jas. Cornelius. Splendid anniversary services were held in Calvin Presbyterian Church an Sunday, with the pastor, Rev. W. S. Sutherland of Whitechurch,, in charge of the services, morning and evening, the choir assisted by members from Whitechurch and Langside, rendered special anthems, and anniversary mus- ic. Mr. and Mrs. Will Peacock, and children of Bluevale, and Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Craig, visited on Sun- day with their father, Mr. Adam Rob- ertson. Anniversary, services will be held on June 8th., in- the United Church, Whitechurch, with Rev. J. Ure Stew- art of Bright, a former Whitechurch pastor, in charge of the services at 11 A,M. and 8 P.M. fast time, St. Helens choir will be in attendance at the even- ing service. You are cordially invited to attend. The regular monthly meeting of the Women's Institute will he held on Tuesday, June 11. The ladies are holding a dance in the Hall this Fri- day evening, with Farrier's rOches- tra providing the music. Mr, and Mrs. Fred Tiffin 'of Lang- side spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs, Victor Emerson. Mr. and Mrs. Mason Robinson and children visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Canieron of Ashfield on Sun- day. Mr; and Mrs. Jas. Hardie and sons of Turnberry, and Mrs. Sam McBur- ney of Wingham, spent Sunday with E. Wawanosh relatives. • Mr. Bob Adams met with a bad ac, cident to 1115 tar when driving on the 10th of E. Wawanosh, on Tuesday night, when he Side-swiped the gravel bins of the crusher outfit, that had moved in that day. Considerable damage was done to the car and fort- unately, he himself, was not injured. The 'Young People's Group of the United 'Church met in the S. S. Room on Monday evening; with Mr. Jas, Fal- coner in the chair, Mrs. Lorne John- ston read the Scripture lesson, Mrs. Jas. The minutes of the last meeting, were read and adopted on motion of Harvey Johnston and Jos, Yarn, Car- ried. The minutes of the Court of Revis- ion on the Grasby Drain were adopted on motion of Chas, Coultes and Sam Alcock, Carried. Moved by Chas, Coultes seconded by Sam Alcock that Walton Library Board be granted permission to build library on blind street until such time' as allowance is needed as a street on and that the Library Board keep gr- ounds in repair, Carried. Movdd by Chas, ,Conites seconded by Jos. Yuill that all properly filled out road accounts as presented by the Road Sup't be paid.. Carried. Moved by Harvey Johnston, secon- ded by Jos, Yuill that the Workmen's Compensation be renewed with Lloyd's Insurance Co. Carried. Moved by Harvey Johnston secon- ded by Sam Alcock that, a resolution be drawn up and sent to the Depart- ment of Highways that a sign be erec- ted at both north and south entrances to the village of Belgrave restricting the speed limit to 30 miles per hour.
