iting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Morgan.
Mrs, Irlina Jenkins, Billy and Edna,
motored to Toronto and spent the
week-end.
Mrs. E. Martin of Toronto is visit-
ing with her daughter, Mrs. Armitage
and Mr. C B. Armitage.
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Kress and sons
spent the week-end at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. R. S. I-letherington,
Misses Jean and Ruth Mitchell spent
the week-end at the home of their par-
ents, Mr. and. Mrs. Jas. H. Mitchell,
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. McMurdo of Tor-
onto, have returned home after spend-
ing the past week with friends in town.
Mrs, Washburn, and son Mr. 4. E.
Washburn, of Toronto, spent the week
end with Mr. and Mrs. W. R, Hamil-

Forsyth, Rev, Bellanger performed
the ceremony.
The bride was attired in an ,artua
dressmaker suit with brown straw hat
and brown accessories. Her corsage
was of pink roses, Mrs, Wesley Scrag-
gy, Guelph, sister of the groom was
the bride's attendant, and Wesley
,Scroggy, was best man.
Following' the ceremony, luncheon
was served to the bridal party at the
Highland Club, On their return they
will reside in Wingliam,

A. pretty wedding was solemnized at
the home of the bride's parents, 1st.
line of Turnberry, Saturday, June.7th„
when Pearl Matilda, daughter of Mr,
and Mrs, James Jones, became the
bride of Wilmer Wallace, son of Mrs.
Harcourt and the late Richard Har-
court, Rev. 0, 5, Coupland perform-
ed the ceremony in the living room,
which was beautifully decorated with
spring flowers. The bride chose a
pink silk jersey street length dress,
with a corsage of Better Time roses,
Miss Mildred Jones, as maid of hon-
our, wore a matching dress of silk
jersey, with a corsage of illumination
dark Pink Carnations. Miss Darlene
Campbell, niece of the bride, was jun-
ior attendant, in powder blue silk with
corsage of pink carnations. Mr., Glenn
Sinnamon of Wingham,. was grooms-
man.
The bride's mother received the
guests wearing a dress of flowered
crepe .and a corsage of red carnations,
After the ceremony the wedding lunch-
eon was served.
For travelling the bridle selected a
turquoise suit with navy accessories,
The happy couple left on their honey-
moon for Toronto, Niagara Falls and
other points.
Guests were present from Toronto,
London, Dun gannon, - Lucknow and
Holyrood.
Chamney Webster
A quiet but pretty wedding took
place in the United Church Manse, at
St. Helens on Saturday afternoon,
when Rev, G. N. Newton, united in
marriage Lois L. Webster, younger
daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Wm. Web-
ster, R. R. 2, Lucknow, and Stuart 2.
Chamney, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs,
Robert Chamney, R. R. 2, Auburn.
The bride was lovely in a street-
length dress of Twilight blue crepe
made with surplice bodice and accord-
ion pleated skirt and wore a small blue
flower trimmed hat, her corsage was

left on a motor trip to Niagara Falls.

On their return they will reside on the
groom's farm at Donnybrook,

Mr, and Mrs, Carmen Coutts of Ot-
tawa, and Mr, and Mrs. Elgin Coutts
of Toronto, visited over the week-end
with Mr. and Mrs, R, A, Coutts,
Miss. Dorothy Hamilton, nurse-in-
training at Wellesley Hospital, Tor-
onto, is spending her vacation at the
home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs. W.
G. Hamilton. Mr. a nd Mrs. Gladwyn Campbell
and daughter Darlene, and Misses Wil-
la. I3ennett and Lucy Orntrad, were
week-end guests at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. James. Jones,

er, N.Y,, Mr, Ed, Laundy of Stam-

of Port Stanley, visited at the home

A managers meeting was held in the
Presbyterian church on Monday even-
ing, also at McIntosh United Church,
The Missionary ladies were the
guests .of the McIntosh Society on
Wednesday at the home of Mrs.
White, Howick.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Finlay are
now settled in. Mr. Casemor's house.
Mr. Nelson Hunkin has surrounded
his property with a fence that the
neighbors cat cannot get through.
Mrs. W. J. Ballagh of Teeswater,
is visiting her .sisterst the Misses
Stokes.
Mrs, Peter Ilakney who has been
quite poorly, is feeling a little better,
Rev. Udell's father who has been a
guest at the Manse, has returned home.
Miss M. Jeffray took tea at the
Manse on Sunday evening with Bessie
Scott and the pastor,

Mrs. John Wilton of Walkerton, is
visiting her friend, Mrs. Mary Hark-
ness,
Mr, and Mrs. Leslie Edwards visited
on Sunday at Wm, Edwards.
The Young People of the Presby-
terian church held their meeting on
Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Press, Mr. and
Mrs. McKenney, Wroxeter, spent
Sunday out of town.
A United Service of Belmore, Mc-
Intosh and Mildmay United Churches
will be held at McIntosh Church on
Sunday, June 15th., at 3 p.m. A con-
gregational meeting will follow the ser-
vice. There will be no service at Mild-
may or Belmore.

Mrs. Jerry Casemore of Wingham is
spending this week at the home of her
son, Mr. Ernest Casemore.
Mr. Kenneth Ross left on Monday
to join the June class of young men
who are travelling to. Regina to take
the six nionths' course at the R.C.M,P.
depot there. Ken thought to slip away
quietly, but neighbours and friends
gathered at the station, where Mr.
Russell Gaunt read an address and Mr.
Ernest Casemore presented him with a
pen and pencil set. Ken thanked his
friends for their kindness. His many
friends in this district will wish him
success, and watch with interest his
career in the West.

Mr. George Wallace has returned
to his home here after spending the
winter months in Seaforth.
Mr. Warren Bamford was home from
Preston over the week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. H, Jefferson and fam-
ily, were Sunday visitors with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Thorn-
ton, Bluevale.
Shnday evening visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. R. Chamney included, Mrs.
Win, Craig and Wm, Jr., of Auburn,
and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wilkin of
Goderich.

A quiet summer wedding was sol-
emnized at Sacred Heart Church,
Wingham, on Saturday morning, May
31st„ at 9.30 when Rev„ Father F. J.
Bricklin, united in marriage, George
Henry Selling, son of Mr, and. Mrs.
George Selling of Wingham, and Gen-
evieve Louise Mary Webber, daughter .
of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Webber of
West Monkton, fames I3eninger of
Wingliam was soloist.
The bride was lovely in a gown of
satin pointed bodice with a sweetheart
neckline over a bouvant net skirt, the
full skirt falling into a train. Her
floor-length veil was caught to a halo
headdress studded with white flowers,
and she. carried a shower banquet of
American Beauty Roses, Her only
ornament was a double strand of
pearls, the gift of the groom,
Miss Margaret trophy, her only at.-
tendant wore a gown of pink silk net
over tafetta, with Matching headdress
and carried a bouquet of bream roses,
Gerald trophy was best Man.
Following the ceremony, a wedding
dinner wat served at the hone of the
groom's patents, Mr, and Mrs Sell-
lug will in Winghatn,
