Girls have been allowed to attend Government schools for the past 20 years and at the present time one third of the stud- ents are women and they are in all pro- fessions including dentistry, medicine, arts, etc. The Chinese church is not yet strong enough to meet opportunit- ies of today and still need help in all lines including music and household science. Still 75% of Chinese people are illiterate and the United Church is responsible for the ten million, people of West China. We all can pray, give of time and material possessions. Mrs. N.
