One farmer enjoyed a thrill of having deer on two occasions come close • to the camp, being frightened away by' the barking of the dog. An added Memory for lovers of nature was the morning last week in which the trees in the woods were loaded with snow and hoar-frost, making the woods appear like a winter wonderland. Mr. Crawford Gibson spent the week-end with friends in London and Parkhill. Mrs. Paul Adams and Mrs, Harvey Adams, spent the week-end in Toronto. Miss Mary Corbett, Toronto, was a Sunday guest of her cousin, Mrs. D. S. MacNaughton, cing the death of the former's step- father, Mr. A. E. Guidal of Toronto. Mr. IGuidal is quite well known here, having made an extended visit at the MacKenney home. Deepest sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. MacKen- ney in their bereavement. Mrs. Thos. McMichael has for her guest this week, her sister, Mrs. Mc- Creary, of Gorrie. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Forster, Dub- lin, spent part of last week with Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Durst. Commencing Sunday next, May 4th., service will be held in United Church at 11 a.m., Daylight Saving Time and St. James Anglican Church service at 7 p.m. D. S. T. Clothing for Britain collection for Wroxeter and vicinity will be under the chairmanship of Mrs. H. V. Mc- Kenney. Good second hand or new clothing donations may be left at the Telephone Office from May 1st., to May 15th. Cash donations may be left at the local Bank of Commerce. Wroeter and community has always made a fine response to any such ap- peal. The need of Britain for aid is still urgent. Minstrel Show Engaged The Minstrel Show 25 boys ranging in age from 5 to 15 under the leader- ship of Father Strauss of Formosa, presented a -Minstrel Show in Wrox- ater Town Hall on Friday evening, The boys were well 'trained and their singing greatly enjoyed, A Dance fol- lowed with the Gorrie Orchestra pro- viding music.
