met this 'venture of the church. The
Crusaders' Cavalcade is part of the
Crusade for 'Christ and His Kingdom,
a post-war endeavour of the United
Church of Canada to strengthen the
spiritual life of the people of this larg-
est Protestaant denomination in Can-
ada. One of the main purposes of the
Cavalcade is to challenge young people
to full time service in preaching, tea-
ching or healing ministries. in the Un-
ited Church at home and overseas.
The Crusaders' Cavalcade Exhibit of
"the United Church of Canada is com-
ing to Wingham in this converted Army
Van. It will be set up on display in
Wingham United Church on Wednes-
day, February 19th. This vehicle was
originally constructed for Army com-
munication work and has been given'
a new coat of paint to serve the Church.
It is a case of "turning a sword into a
ploughshare." The Crusaders' Caval-
cade is currently touring Canada and
will travel from ,coast to coast within

We record the death of Miss Sarah
Johnson, of Gorrie. A highly respect-
ed resident of McIntosh vicinity for
many years. The remains were laid to
rest in McIntosh cemetery on Friday
afternoon.
We wish to thank all those who re-
membered the "Shut-Ins" at the time
of the . big blow, especially Attdrey
Hunkin of Bluevale Creamery, who is
