Gaunt, The theme was "Fulfilling our
Church Membership in Witnessing fair
Christ." The reports for the year were
presented by the Secretary and by the
treasurer; who stated that $139 had
been forwarded to the Presbyterial
Treasurer. Reports of the .Heralds in-
eluded a story of the Christmas Cele-
brations at Chissarnhia, India, by Mrs,
McPherson, and an account of the
visit of several officers of the London
Conference to Algoma by Mrs, Carrier,
on, Mrs, W, I. Miller took the topic,
on'"Meet tile Youth of India,"
The meeting of the W. A, followed
with Mrs, A, Gaunt in the chair. The
theme of the service was Re-dedica-
tion of ourselves, Mrs. Cameron read
the Scripture Lesson and Mrs. Mc-
Pherson the lesson thoughts. The an-
nual reports were read, the treasurer
reported a balance of $40.58. It was
decided to have a membership roll with
a fee of 25 cents.
Mr. Wilbert Durnin left recently to
join his wife at Bexleyheath, England.
OBITUARY
Mrs. R. H. Deacon
There passed away on Tuesday, Jan-
uary 7th, in Guelph General Hospital,
after a long illness, Mrs. R. H, Deacon,
in her 42nd. year. The former Mari-
etta Jean Salter, was a daughter of
William Salter and the late Mrs. Sal-
ter of E. Wawanosh. Surviving are
her husband, three sons, Richard of
Teeswater, George of London, Leslie
at home, five daughters, Mrs. S. Jacob
(Frances), of Hamilton; IVIarrietta,
Hazel, Lorraine and Lois at home.
She also leaves her father, one .sister,
Mrs. Ross Button of Morris, and two
brothers, Russell and Frank of East
Wawanosh.- There is one granddau-
ghter. Service was held from R. A.
Currie's Funeral Parlors on Friday,
at 2.30 p.m, with interment in Wing-
ham Cemetery.
