held in the Wingham Town Hall, on
Thursday, December 19th., 1946, at 8
o'clock, All members present, The

A Christmas entertainment was giv-
en ii the Forester's Hall, on Friday
evening by the pupils of U.S.S.No. 17.
The programme consisted of 'choruses
dances, dialogues and piano selections.

Motion by Smith and Willits that a
hearty vote of thanks be tendered to
Mr. Elgin Johnston for his faithful
services rendered to the Township
School Board. Carried.
Motion by Walpole and Johnston
that a letter of appreciation be sent to
the Town Council, Wingham, thanking
them for the use of the Council Cham-
ber, where the Township School Board
hold their meetings. Carried,
Motion by Willits and Walpole that
the meeting adjourn. Carried.

BRICK CHURCH W.M.S.
The regular monthly meeting of the
Brick Church W.M.S. was held on
Dec, 11th, at the home of Mrs. Frank
Thompson, The meeting opened with
a prayer read by the leader, Mrs.
Chas. Shiell, this was followed by a
carol, '0 Little Town of Bethlehem".
The scripture reading was given by
Mrs. Allan Pattison. The program con-
sisted of a Christmas Candlelight Ser-
vice.
Four members of the group in char-
ge, namely, Mrs. M. McRitchie, .Doro-
thy Pattison, Mrs, L. Wightman, Mrs.
Chas. Shiell were dressed in saris to
represent India. They, in turn, lighted
their candles and they presented a pic-
ture of present conditions in India, and
a pictureof what they believed our
church and country could do to bright.

Dunlop, Mrs. F. Thompson, Mrs. Geo.
Walker and Mrs. Shiell representing
Canada, They lighted their candles,
read assurances to the Indian women.
