ELECT OFFICERS .Finf..1..*•••••• The regular monthly meeting of the Women's Missionary Society of , St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, was meld in the Sunday School Room on Tuesday afternoon, December 10th., at 'three o'clock, following an executive meeting at 2.80, at which the various 17, eports of the officers were given. The President, Mrs. W. J. Hecuba.- son, occupied the chair, and the Inca- ing was opened with the Lord's Prayer in unison. The Scripture reading was given by Mrs. E. R. Harrison, follow- ed by the singing of a hymn. The general business of the meeting was then proceeded with, and the Secre- fary's report was given by Mrs. T. A. Currie, also the Treasurer's report by Mrs. Geo. Olver. The yearly reports were given by the officers of the Soc- iety, and a splendid year's work was brought to a close. After the singing of a hymn, the Glad Tidings Prayer was given by Mrs. Geo. Olver. Mrs. Donald Rae read some very interesting articles from the book, "Christian World Facts." The offering was received, followed by Dedicatory Prayer given by Mrs. Geo. Day, after the singing of another hymn, the Missionary topic was read by Mrs, N. L. Fry, which was most interest- ing and helpful, being the last chapter of the current study book, "Think of Africa". Mrs. Ford, (formerly Miss Grace Tucker), favored with a lovely solo, a Christmas Hymn. After the closing remarks of the President, Mrs. W. J. Henderson, in which she ex- pressed her thanks for the assistance she had received during the past year from the. officers and members of the Society, Mrs, Henderson vacated the chair and Mrs, Alex Nimcno conduct- ed the installation of the new officers for the coming year, which are as fol- lows:— Hon. HOLDS CANDLELIGHT SERVICE The ladies of the Women's Mission- ary Society of the Wingham United Church met in the S. S. room for their Degember meeting and election of of- ficers on Tuesday afternoon, the 10th., at 3 o'clock. A good attendance was present to enjoy the Candlelight Ser- vice which was -in charge of Mrs. W. A. Beecroft. Miss Boe and a group of girls from the C.G.I.T. took part in the service with Miss Boe reading "Even Unto Bethlehem" by Vandyke and the C.G.I.T. singing the lovely old Christ- mas Carols. During the business part of the meet- ing conducted by the ,president, Mrs. Hiseler, Mrs. VanWyck, the treasurer, gave a report that the allocation for the year had been exceeded.
