Mr. Billie Caslick has his left hand
in a cast, as he received a bad gash
across the palm and the end of his
fingers in the circular saw.
Mr. Bob Ross had his car in Wing-
ham on Thursday evening, heard the_
fire alarM, when he was at some dis-
tance from it, and found that a short
circuit had started it on fire, and that
firemen had 'been called out to exting-
uish the flames.
Mr. and Mrs. Aldin Purdon spent
the week-end with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Goyeau at Leaming-
ton.
Mr. Metcalf of Wawota, Sask., and
who spent many years in the MacKay
and Purdon settlement there, is work-
ing in the Emerson bush and staying
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Fal-
coner.
Rev. G. M. Newton presented films
on Sunday in the United Church Sun-
day School, showing the pictures of
the song, The Holy City, and the
Third Missionary Journey of Paul. On
Wednesday evening slides were shown
at the Young People',s meeting, s4ow-
ing the iternesting tablets of rock and
stone, on which Bible ,records have
come down through the ages, and the
different hieroglyphics of different
centuries, „
