N., daughter of Mrs. King, Teeswater, and the late George King, and Albert Edward Bates, soivof the late Mr. and Mrs, John Bates, Jersey, C,I., were united in marriage. Rev. Fr. Hawkins Teeswater, performed the ceremony, which took place at eleven o'clock. Given in marriage by her eldest brother, E, J. Her full-length embroidered veil was held by a Juliet cap trimmed with white velvet flowers, She wore the groom's gift, a single strand of pearls, and carried a shower bouquet of red roses and bouvardia. Mrs. Erna Hospes, R.N., wearing a floor-length dress of pink brocaded satin and matching headress of velvet flowers and carrying yellow roses, was matron of honour. Miss Rosanne King, Toronto, attended as bridesmaid. She wore a yellow crepe chiffon and matching headdress and carried Talis- man roses. Little Miss M. Gail Mc- Kenzie was flower girl. She wore a floor-length frock of blue net over taf- feta and carried a nosegay of sweet- heart roses. (Major W. L. O'Brecht, Camp Borden, was best min, Messrs. George C. King, Teeswater, brother of the bride, and Wilfred McKenzie, Gitelph, ushered. Clifford McCleland, soloist, sang "Ave Maria" and "Penis Angelicus". A 'reception followed at the Royal Banquet Hall. Receiving with the, bridal 'party were the mother of the bride and Mrs. E. O'Brecht, the form- er attired in a black crepe ensemble, trimmed with sequins and a corsage of pink roses; and the latter wearing a two-piece frock of black crepe and a corsage of pink roses. Later the young couple left, on a wedding trip to Hamilton, Niagara Falls and the United States, the bride wearing a grey dressmaker suit with teal accessories and a corsage of Sweet- heart roses. On their return they plan to reside in Guelph. Guests were present from Barrie, Alliston, London, Ridgetown, Hamil- ton, Teeswater and Guelph.
