Clifford Ladies Win
The Clifford Ladies invaded the loc-
al campus Monday evening and they
trounced the Wingham nine 17-2 be-
fore a large crowd. The visitors prov-
ed too much for the locals, excelling
at the bat and in the field. Fields on
the mound for Clifford pitched a stea-
dy game and contributed with a home-
run in the fourth. The locals tried
hard, but costly errors proved their
downfall in the field. Ruth Harris and
McDonald scored the Wingham
Widmeyer, a veteran of several seas-
ons was a standout for Clifford, collec-
ting seven hits and crossing the plate
on four occasions.
