The president presided and opened the Meeting with the usual exercises, Roll call of war work was taken by the seeretary, A farewell letter was read from Miss Mary Clai•lse, retiring superintendent of W, L's who voiced appreciation of the co-operation she had received. It was decided to pur- chase 25 copies of the new song sheets, As the school fair falls on the regular meeting day it , was decided to hold the meeting on Thursday, September 20. Roll call—an important act of courtesy, was well responded to. The guest speaker was Miss .Bar- bara Michie, who spoke on the "De- velopment of a Democratic World."
