Past Master Gibson joined the lodge at Harriston just 26 years ago on the same date. Two years ago in February Past Master Gibson had the honour of in- itiating his elder son Crawford, who is now overseas, Never before in the history of the local lodge has any member bad this proud distinction al- though some years ago the late John Davidson had the honour of initiating his son Gaven, who now resides in Oshawa. Good Friday Service Special services will be held in St, James Anglican Church on Good Fri- day, at 10 a.m. WINN CUBS The Wingliam. Wolf Cub Pack is showing keen interest and enthusiasm in Scouting. Wednesday evening 23 Cubs met at seven o'clock in the gymnasium, The Sixers took the roll call and collected the dues, Each Cub tried the "Skipping Test," The Tawny Six proved the best skippers. The Cubs formed the Parade Circle and listened to the legend of the Great Bear, which never sleeps in the sky. Sixer Raymond Merkley, Second Wil- lard Platt and Cub Ronald Murray qualified for the first proficiency star, HURON-BRUCE BOUNDARY FORUM The Huron-Bruce Boundary Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred McKague with the at- tendance of 27. The topic was "We all live in the same world". It is agreed that as long as there was a surplus of food we should help the other countries less fortunate than our- selves. Nobody seemed to agree with the second question in having our standard of living lowered, but all agreed in helping the other countries if we expect to get foreign trade in the future. They also thought that by not having any unemployment would help the domestic consumption of food in post-war years. The re- mainder of the evening was spent in progressive euchre. High prizes going to Mrs. Gus McGlynn and Frank Mc- Cormick. Low prizes going to Mrs. Oscar Holmes and Pat McGlynn. Lunch was served. The next meeting will be held at Mrs, Frank Mc- Cormick's. The convenor to be Jim Netterfield, SALEM. Mr. and Mrs. John Ifartin of To- ronto, visited with his brother, Mr, Toni Martin and Mrs. Martin last week. The Red Cross dance held in Lane's School last Friday night was well at- tended, Miss Jean Sharpie of Wingham, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. 'and Mrs. Morrison Shamir,. Miss Irene Finlay, who attends. Wroxeter High School, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr, and Mrs, Charlie Finlay. She was ac- companied by her two chums, Misses Margaret Wearring and Jean Moffitt. BLUEVALE To Hold Prayer Meetings Passion Week At Knox Presbyterian Church, the morning servi,ce was conducted by Mr. Howard Neable. of Molesworth. He preached a pre-Easter service on the text "This is the King of the Jews". At the morning service in the United Church Rev. J. W. Johnson spoke on the subject "The Dangers of Insincer- ity". The local congregations have ar- ranged to hold prayer meetings on Tuesday and Friday evenings in Pas- sion Week. Mr. Johnston will deliver the message in the Presbyterian Church and Mr. Neable in the United Church. The services will commence at 8,30 o'clock. Held Progressive Crokinole Party The teacher, Miss Mable Coultes, and the pupils sponsored a progressive crokinole social in the school room of the United Church on Friday evening, for the purpose of raising funds for the Junior Red Cross Society.
